Q. Why are my brakes squeaking or grinding?
A. The most common cause of brake problems is general wear and tear. Often, new brake pads are required to resolve the issue. Driving with faulty or ineffective brakes is dangerous, please contact us to arrange an assessment.
Q. There is a knocking noise coming from the front of my car, what is causing this?
A. This could be down to any number of different things, but a knocking noise is often the result of a wheel bearing failure. To determine the specific issue and prevent further damage to your car, please book your vehicle in for an assessment.
Q. Why doesn’t my heater work?
A. This could be problem with the fan. Don’t leave it too late to get it sorted, you never know when you’re going to need it, plus, it could put you in a dangerous position if you are unable to clear your windscreen.
Q. Why is my fan only working on level 4?
A. This could be an issue with the resistor, or with the blower motor. Give us a call and we’ll arrange for one of the team to take a look.
Q. Why has my window stopped working?

Q. What could be causing a wiper fault?
A. This could be a number of things, including: fuse problems, wiring issues, or a faulty motor. It’s usually not a big job – give us a call and we’ll arrange a time for you to call in.
Q. Why isn’t my air con working?
A. It sounds like you might need to come in for an air conditioning re-gas or service. One of the team will be able to take a look and let you know – give us a call and we’ll book you in.
Q. Why does my engine keep cutting out?
A. This could be a power issue, but it’s difficult to say without looking. Our team of experts will be happy to help – contact us to arrange an appointment.
Q. Why is a dashboard light / engine management light on?
A. If you’ve got a red light showing, please stop driving your vehicle and give us a ring. A red light indicates a serious fault and driving your car could be dangerous. If you have an orange light showing, the issue isn’t as serious but still needs attention – please call us for advice. It could be something as simple as resetting the ECU, but until we take a look we can’t say for sure.
Q. My oil light has come on, what should I do?
A. It’s probably time that you had your vehicle serviced. Every vehicle requires regular servicing so if you’ve not had yours serviced for a while, give us a call and we’ll book you in.
